Contraindications include a family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2, diabetic gastroparesis or inflammatory bowel disease like Crown’s disease or ulcerative colitis, or a history of pancreatitis. The future cost of Semaglutide or Tirzepatide varies per titration dosing and package. Refills for Semaglutide will be available in a 10-week supply; Tirzepatide refills are for an 8-week supply. Initial follow-up after starting medications is at four weeks and then again at 6 weeks. Subsequent follow-ups will be every 4 weeks or may vary based on the package you choose. A copy of recent lab work is required (no older than 6 months) otherwise lab work will be ordered before starting any medications or supplementation.
