Microneedling with or without PRP?

  • Microneedling using SkinPen

Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive treatment to rejuvenate the skin. A device with fine needles creates tiny punctures in the top layer of the skin, which triggers the body to create new collagen and elastin. Results can include improved texture and firmness, as well as reduced scars, pore size, and stretch marks. Post-treatment expect UV sensitivity and redness for up to five days. You may also experience some light burning, tightness, and mild flaking. Noticeable differences in the skin's texture will occur within a couple of weeks. A series of at least 3 treatments is recommended. When treating deeper acne scars, stretch marks, or wrinkles, 6 treatments are recommended. Microneedling can be performed every 3–6 weeks.

  • Microneedling w/PRP

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP), when added to a microneedling session, improves healing and decreases the duration of redness. We draw a small amount of your blood and place it in a centrifuge to isolate your natural growth factors. It is then applied to the skin and enters the microchannels created by the device.
